Last weekend, Lock Poker announced that it has signed a new member to join its team. Melanie Weisner is the new member of Lock Poker. Apart from Weisner, team Lock Poker also includes eminent poker pros such as Brett Jungblut, Bryan Pellegrino, Leo Margets, Chris Moorman and Eric Lynch.
Weisner – A Pro at Online Tournaments
Weisner was previously associated with Full Tilt Poker. She is a pro at heads-up Sit-and-Go tourneys. According to SharkScope.com records, the player ranked at the top of leader boards in quite a few categories. She is currently at the 11th place for all games having stakes between $301 and $1,000. She ranks 9th in heads-up Hold’em games with stakes between $301 and $1,000.
After the Black Friday incident hit the US, Weisner’s career slowed down a bit. However, she still held the 8th rank in short-handed super turbo Sit-and-Go tournaments. There was a time when the player topped the leaderboards for heads-up Sit n Go tourneys across several poker sites.
Weisner ranks 2,356 for multi table tourneys worldwide. She played with the knick name Callisto 5 at PokerStars.com. Her rank for multi table tournaments was as high as 607 in August 2010. The largest win landed by the player had been a 3rd place finish at a PokerStars Sunday guaranteed tournament. The player took home a total of $500K from the event.
Weisner’s Live Tournament Records are Impressive
The achievements of the player in live poker events had been quite impressive. Weisner achieved quite a few successes in tournaments held across Europe. The player made a 3rd place finish at a No-Limit Hold’em event worth £1,000 in the European Poker Tour. She received $ 23,914 for the win. This victory was followed by a 4th place finish at a Heads-Up No-Limit Hold’em tournament in the same poker tour. Weisner was at the 33rd place in the Main Event of World Series of Poker Europe. She achieved two live victories in Ladies Events – the first at EPT Prague and the second at EPT Grand Final.
