PKR Offering Exclusive WSOP 2012 Packages
PKR is offering its players the chance to grab an exclusive package through which they can participate in a WSOP 2012 event for free. Apart from the free entry, package winners will also get various other benefits.
The Package
Each package is worth $4,500 and comes with a buy-in for WSOP Event 59 which is a No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament. Along with the buy-in, package winners will get free accommodation at a luxurious hotel inLas Vegasand travel expenses. The package also provides VIP entries to all PKR parties and a special goody bag from WSOP.
Qualifying Structure for WSOP Package
PKR offers two ways through which players can win a WSOP package. Players have to take part in a step satellite event which can be entered with 1200 player points.
Players have the option to directly buy-in to any stage of the satellite or start playing from the initial round and move up the stages. Those with a limited bankroll can enter the first stage by paying a buy-in of 1200 player points. Between the first and the final stages of the satellite, there is a quarter final and a semi final round. The buy-in for the quarter final is $11.70 and that for the semi-final is $53.50. Players having a big bankroll can pay $245 and directly enter the final stage.
Lottery Tournament
In addition to the satellites, lottery tournaments are running at PKR which start with an initial chip stack of 1 chip. To participate in these tournaments, players don’t have to log-in. The blinds are at a level that allows every player to go all-in in each hand. Similar to satellites, the lottery tournaments allow players to buy-in directly into any stage. The first stage can be entered by paying a buy-in of $1. The buy-ins for the second and the third stages are $4.60 and $22 respectively. To play at the final stage directly, players have to pay $105 for the buy-in.
120% Welcome Bonus
New players of PKR are offered a 120% bonus through which upto $800 can be earned. To avail the bonus, players have to download the software and create a real money account with the online poker room.
PKR Freerolls
A range of freerolls is run by PKR, which allows players to increase their bankroll. Total, 11 tournaments are held in the daily freeroll category. In addition, premium freerolls offering a prize pool of $100 to $1,000 are conducted. To participate in the premium freerolls, PKR Points should be earned. They are awarded every time a player takes part in real money games.
A depositor freeroll is conducted at PKR on the 2nd and 4th Sunday, every month. These tournaments have a prize pool of $2,500 on offer. The event is open to all real money players of the site, provided they make a deposit in the 21 days leading to the start of the tournament.
PKR Pro Wins WPT Magazine Awards
Team PKR pros have always been in the limelight in the poker circuit. Jake Cody’s runners-up place in the WPT Magazine Awards 2011 is a testament of this. The player faced tough challenges from pro, Sam Holden who won the first place. Cody had been a bracelet winner in a WSOP No-Limit Texas Hold’em event conducted at the hotel and casino run by Rio All-Suite.
The win for which the player received $851,192 cash, fetched him the prestigious runner-up spot in the WPT Magazine Awards. Ben Lamb, another well-known poker pro also received an honor in the same award ceremony in the category of the Best International Player.
